Amazing place for a family walk with some history. The old open cast quarry and rail head give the place a real sense of character.

Nice walk through some of Finedon's history. Previous reviews have labelled the railway as 'abandoned' but there are only concrete sleepers left and these are in the public areas. Lovely walk. In order to get to the Finedon Green or the Banks Park you need to come out at the Dolben Cricket Club or the St Mary's Avenue entrance and take a small walk to the desired locations.Lovely, well maintained local park
